At Roberts and Associates, we believe that through good and proactive communication, we can come to a mutual understanding of the attorney/client interaction that will aid us in establishing and maintaining a business relationship.  The following are some of the policies at Roberts and Associates that will facilitate a trusting and mutually beneficial relationship between you and our firm.

Communications- At Roberts and Associates, we believe that communication is the most important aspect of serving our clients.  We will regularly keep you informed of all developments in your case through status updates and interaction with attorneys and staff.  We will also provide you copies of all correspondence and court documents pertaining to your case.  We will promptly respond to your emails and phone calls.  In addition to communication directly with clients regarding their specific cases, we have a firm-wide quarterly newsletter, and we regularly update our website, blog, and Facebook page to stay more connected to potential clients and the community at large.

Client manual- At the time we sign a contract to work with you, we will present you with a copy of our client manual, so you will immediately have a point of reference regarding your representation and your relationship with us.  The manual covers a variety of topics, including:

  • What you can expect from us as your attorneys
  • What the attorneys expect from you as a client
  • Approximate timeline for your representation
  • What to expect in the settlement or trial process
  • Explanation of costs and fees
  • The continuing attorney/client relationship

Interaction with staff- We are committed to our clients, and we promise to serve the interests of each individual and case to the best of our ability.  In interacting with our staff, please remember that we have made that promise not only to you, but to all of our clients, and that an attorney may not always be able to talk immediately.  At Roberts and Associates, we fully utilize our staff.  Our legal assistants are trained and experienced at communicating with clients, and also know when a matter specifically needs the attention of an attorney.  We put our trust in their ability to help us serve our clients fully, and recognize that delegating some matters to their capable hands allows us to fully concentrate on attorney-specific work.  Please be patient and polite to the staff, trust all of us to look after your interests, and rest assured that everything will be handled appropriately.
